O weh, die Konigin der Nacht was a German song written for a soprano singer. It is about the queen telling her daughter to kill her boyfriend but the daughter loves him. The queen threatens to kill her if she does not respect her mother. this is a very sad song. It is an opera, and i like it a lot!

O weh, die Konigin der Nacht was written by Mozart, a piece from The Magic Flute. One of the most famous operas still playing today in German, the Queen of the Night orders her daughter, Pamina, to kill her boyfriend, Sarastro, whom she loathes.
In this piece, I obviously heard a talented soprano belt out all those high notes miraculously. There was an orchestra playing to accompany her, with sound effects in the back. Like clashing of thunder.
To me, to a person who’s never been to an opera before, this was absolutely amazing. Of course, I don’t really know what the Queen is ranting about since everything is in German (until I saw the translations of the lyrics in the comment of the English version of this opera - not even half as good) but the language doesn’t really effect the actual music, does it? Snazzy costumes. Her crown was bothersome, though. Attempting that part hurts, I’ve come to realize, so I’ll just let Luciana Serra sing it. Her voice is indeed wonderful. Though, I wouldn’t exactly go to an opera just to see her. But if it was free, that’s another story.

O weh, die Konigin der Nacht was a part of an opera named “The magic Flute”. It was written by Mozart who was an amazing compozer of music and many opera’s. The magic flute is one of Mozart’s most famous plays ever written and now it is still being played today, the only bad thing for american’s is that it is in German and we can not fully understand everything. The Queen of the Night orders Pamina to kill this boy Sarastro but Pamina does not want to because she likes him and the Queen of the Night hates him and wants him killed.
In this piece i heard a very large orchestra ancompaning a very talented singer. With the orchestra and the singer, it sounded like she (the Queen of the Night) was VERY mad and she really wanted that boy dead.
i found this peoce of opera very loud and scary. the first time i heard that singer (The Queen of the Night) it seemed almost impossible sing that high of a note and i though that that was very good on her part. this was not my first opera (ive went to Phantom of the Opera) i still am not a big fan of opera’s. but what i though was very funny was that her stomach was moving so much when she sang those really high notes!!!

We are watching and lisening to a Opera called, The Queen of the Night from the Magic Flute by Mozart. It is about a Queen telling her to kill Serastro. She gives Panena a dager to kill him. Panena doesnt want to kill him.
The song is very interactive. It is very relaxing. It is nice show to watch. The bad part is it is in German. One part she sings very high and than low piches. I cant believe she can sing that high.
In my inpinion I didnt like it because it get alittle to loud. The one thing I did like is that it is very sothing. It is very interesting that they do a story in Opera

O weh, die Konigin der Nacht was a German song, sung by the queen of the night. It was written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart for the Magic Flute. In this part of the opera Monostato (the servant) is driven away by the Queen, who gives Pimina a dagger. Pimina is to kill Sarastro or else the Queen would disown her daughter.
The Queen is one of the 12 singers in the world who can sing in such a high voice. The part she sings sounds like a flute, hence the name the Magic Flute. SHe moves her mouth depending on the note and user her diaphram to hold the notes and make them sound pretty at the same time.
For someone who has never listened to opera before, it wasn’t terrible. Operas aren’t good because of just the singing, but also because of the acting and amusement. After this portion of the Magic Flute (which i enjoyed) I want to see the rest of the opera.

Today in class, we viewed a scene of an opera called the Magic Flute where a lady dressed up as a queen and was singing a song called Queen of the Night Aria. In German it would be called O weh, die Konigin der Nacht. This Opera was written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart during the Classical Period.
I heard a soprano lady singing super high notes that were actually hard to listen to because they were so high. This is the highest I’ve ever heard anyone sing. She is one of the only people in the world that can sing this. This soprano was singing without a microphone and she was using her diaphragm to push out the air. Therefore, her chest was going up and down.

In this section of the opera, I heard a talented opera singer and a large orchestra. Together, it sounded very professional (except for the bad quality of the speakers in Dr. F’s room). The Queen of the Night could hit some very high notes. I know that it is very hard to sing that high, especially in operas because there was no microphone.
I think this piece was very professionally acted and sung although I didn’t really care for the high notes. I am not a big fan of operas but I can tell this was top of the line. At first, I thought it was funny that her stomach bounced around a lot but now I know she was using her diaphragm to help push the air out on those high staccato notes.

In the piece, Pamina’s mother is telling her to kill her husband, which Pamina does not want to do. Also in the song, I heard many violins playing. The song was also was very repetitive.
Normally, I don’t listen to opera, but this was very good. I was very impresses on how high the mother sang. It was also very cool how she didn’t need a microphone to make her that loud. This was a very good song.

I liked this song. Usually I don’t like Operas, but this song wasn’t bad. The melody was very festive and I like happy music although the queen is yelling at her daughter, it still sounds happy. I thought the acting of the girl was a little corny. Overall it was good. 1-10 I would give it a 8.5.

In this song, I heard an orchestra play while the Queen of the Night sang. The beat was very angry and repetitive.
This song ok but it kinda disturbed me how high she could sing. It was also wierd how her stomach moved when she sang high notes.

The opera’s name we listened to in class was The Magic Flute. In the opera, there was a song, O weh, die Konigin der Nacht from Queen of the Nigh Aria. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart wrote this opera.
The woman is singing a solo in german. In the opera, the queen is yelling at her daughter to kill her boyfriend Sarastro. The queen does not like Sarastro at all, so she gives her daugher a daggar. I heard an orchestra playing in the background. The lady, Luciana Serra, was singing in high notes. Not many people in the world can sing like that.
I thought the opera was interesting and entertaining. It’s crazy how someone can sing like that. I liked this song, and watching her sing was very exciting. I don’t listen to operas, but I found this piece pleasurable. The daughter, Pamina did bad acting though, but the queen did very good acting. She looked very mad and angry.

Today, and for the past couple days actually, we’ve been watching the same clip from an opera by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The opera was “The Magic Flute”, and the song was The Queen of the Night Aria.
In the song, the Queen is telling her daughter to kill her boyfriend, which her daughter doesn’t want to do. At this point the mother breaks out into a sinister yet surprisingly beautiful opera. In accompaniment are violins, flutes, and possibly cellos and clarinets.
While I am by no means a fan of opera, this song, though evil in nature, is quite beautiful, and the soprano’s voice soars to amazing heights and volume. Overall this opera was pleasant and catchy, and the proof is everyone humming it in the hallway. It would have been nice to hear it in English though.

i thought that the queen of the nights was ammazing because of the fact that she didn’t have a mic or anything on here to make her voice loud.also that it was in german that was pretty cool amzing.i know that i can sing but not like that this was one of the best perfomances ive ever heard except for the opera that i went to go see in france that was like the best. I asked my mom what she new about it and she said nothing cause she didn’t know what it was but i bet if you went around asking peolpe about that performance and showed them the movie they would be like complete drop dead. My mouth comlpetley opened when i saw this women sing. After i saw how she sung it i tried it and i can do but not nearly as well as she did it it was extremley good thanks for showing us the movie well at least half of if.Also i thought that it was a good melody in the song and that it was happy but then got angry.the happy part was the bird part and the angry part was at the end and i loved the way she was dressed and her crow it was really good.no not good amzing now you know why it was the most famouos opera.

We listened to a oper song called the magic flute wrtten by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. this was in german. In this opera i herd that there were several instraments being played. the story is about a mother not liking her daughters boyfriend and is singing to her duaghter basically “you kill this boyfriend with a knife plunge it in his heart and kill him or else i will do it for you”. im not really into opera but i kinda liked this one because it was very different something that i have never heard and i said to my self that i lied it. i aslo thought that it was really good how she didn’t ues a microphone to make her voice louder. This to me was a very good song.

the piece we have seen in class in from “the magic flaute” from wolfwang amadeus mozart / queen of the artia /
its in german and they dont have microphones because in oppera they dont use microphones.
pamina is in love with a boy but her mother tolds her to kill him, she doesnt wants to kill him so her mother gets upset and sings a piece very upset telling her to kill him. the woman that sings is the mother and she sings the same thing over and over.
in my opinion is a very good piece of music, i dont ussually hear oppera but i like it very much. its very difficult to sing while acting and its extremely difficult to sing in that tone.. only a few woman in the world can sing that piece of music.

The song was sug in a really high pitch. She Also sang so loud it sounded like she could crack glass. She kept on going up and down on the notes. I can not believe someone can sing that high. It seems impossible. She sings in a high pitch the whole time.
I thought it was an o.k. piece. the lady was a good singer. I would not want to listen to it again though. it was one of those one time things. It also hurt my ears. I felt like my ears were going to pop.

In class we listened to the magic flute. we listened to the song O weh, die Konigin der Nacht from queen of the atria. this piece was written for a soprano. it was written by wolfwang Amadeus Mozart. It was in German and the singers didn’t use microphones.
In this piece the queen is telling her daughter to kill her boyfriend because the queen doesn’t like him. the queen is very angry in this song. The daughter has a knife (dagger) in her hand, but the daughter is in love with her boyfriend and cant kill him. the queen tells her daughter if she doesn’t kill her boyfriend she will kill her! The voices are very high in this song ( opera). and the queen’s chest moves a lot from using her diagram to sing.
I liked this song a lot! i was impressed she could sing that high. I was also impressed she didn’t use a mic. the song is very upbeat but dark and angry at the same time. operas are usually boring but this one wasn’t that bad!

Pamina does not want to (obviously) so the Queen of the Night threatens to disown Pamina if she does not complete the task.
In this piece I heard a full orchestra playing as well as a woman singing in soprano. The notes this woman reached were extremely high and the best part was that she did not even use a microphone.
Before I listened to this song I absolutely hated opera. Now after listening to this song, I still hate opera but I have learned to appreciate what these people do which is singing without a microphone. Even so, I still think that it is amazing that that lady could sing so high!

This is a song sung by the Queen of the Night in Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” In this song she tells her daughter pamina to murder sarostro.
In the piece there is a small orchestra playing as the queen sings in german and hits ridiculously high notes throughout the piece.
I appreciate how amazing it is that anyone can hit notes as loudly and clearly as done in this song, I enjoyed the tune the intruments were playing and I did not dislike the melody, but I would not listen to it by free will as it is not my style.

Queen of the Night Aria, was written by wolfgang amadeus mozart. he was a famous composer and musicion of the mid to late 1700’s. this song is from mozarts famous play “the magic flute”. this song was originally written for a soprano.
this song was written in an extremely high pitch. the opera singer must’ve had to train intensivly for this song so she could hit the high notes. i couldnt imagine any guy i know even trying to sing this… unless of course they were a constrati.
i’ve always thought of opera as… boring, non-motivative, and just down right stupid. but after hearing this AMAZING song, i want to go see this play ASAP. i will literally spend my lifes savings to see this.

I thought opera was supposed to be boring adn un-exciting, but i was definately wrong. Although I am not an opera fan, I did enjoy this piece. I thought it was well written and entertaining.

In class, we listened to the play, “The Magic Flute.” This was an opera that was written by Mozart. In the beginning of this play, Pamina’s mother, the Queen of rhw Night, also the lady that was singing, told Pamina that she had to kill Sarasto. Then, she started singing. The lady that was the Queen of the Night has one of the 12 highest voices in the world.
While listening to this piece, I heard someone singing extremely loud and extremely high. I also realized that when the notes go higher, her voice gets louder, and when the notes get lower, her voice gets lower. Her voice almost sounds like a flute, and and the notes she sang were held out very long. She doesnt move, except for her mouth and her diaphram when she sang.
When we first started listening to this piece, I got a headache. Her voice was almost piercing, and I thought it was too high for a human to attempt to sing. It almost felt like it was too powerful and strong, because I think operas are supposed to be beautiful and soft.

In class we listened to a piece called Queen of the Night Aria.This is featured in the German Opera “The Magic Flute”. It was written by by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. During this piecethe Queen tells her daughter to kill the man she loves because the queen does not like him and does not want to do it herself. While listening to Queen of the Night Aria I noticed that the piece is in German. Also, the pitch was extremely high during the solo,so high that not many people can possibly sing the part. Next, the queen had to sing very loudly because there was no microphone being used. Lastly, the Queen sang with an orchestra. I did not like this piece because it was too high and too loud to enjoy. At times it bothered my ears because I was not used to hearing such a high pitch. I would not recomend this piece to anyone.
